The story of Takahē

The flightless takahē is a colourful green and blue bird with an impressive red beak and short stout legs. Sofia has used drip painting on the body of this endangered endemic New Zealand bird and set it against a background of geometric designs inspired by Maori tukutuku panels found in marae.
